VIRTUAL BODY WORKS 1988/2013
During the Spring of 1987, Gretta was invited to participate in an interactive computer/video telecommunications event, "WHO KILLED HEINRICH HERTZ?" created by InterComm (Timothy Binkley, George M. Chaikin, Ira Schneider & Willoughby Sharp).
Because Gretta believes that new technologies should be used as "artistic tools", she has become involved in collaborative work with each of the above. Of particular importance is her on-going SYMMETRICAL REINCARNATIONS series, in which her paintings are combined with Dr. Binkley's "Symmetry" program computer print-outs at The School of Visual Arts NY, where he was the founder of the Computer Art Department in 1982.
