GRETTA & BECHERONI 1980

"Modificazione E Appropriamento Di Una Identita' Autonoma" is the performance created and enacted by Gretta Sarfaty in 1979 (Italy, Belgium and Brazil). In 1980, Gretta published na artist book with artist Elvio Becheroni, collecting texts about the performance, the poem read during the performance, and photographs taken by Bechorini during Gretta’s enactment at the Palazzo dei Diamanti, in Ferrara.

In 2022, Tálisson Melo created a conceptual video to presente the main issues of the performance: different notions of autonomy.
